A mop (such as a floor mop) is a mass or bundle of coarse strings or yarn, etc., or a piece of cloth, sponge, or other absorbent material, attached to a pole or stick. It is used to soak up liquid, for cleaning floors and other surfaces, or to mop up dust, or for other cleaning purposes. The word (then spelled mappe) is attested in English as early as 1496, but new refinements and variations of mop designs have been introduced, from time to time. For example, American inventor Jacob Howe received U.S. patent #241 for a mop holder in 1837 and African American inventor Thomas W. Stewart (U.S. patent #499,402) in 1893. Splinters a popping,,, Check on cheap carpet,,, but if the carpet is that bad, and represents a health hazard,,, push the landlord and pay a pet fee. Do not take up the carpet without the landlords permission, or guess who gets to buy new carpet. Check into vinyl peal and stick tiles... cheap. Good luck. Q. I am seeking any VALID information that anyone can help me with. I had a cat that just passed. She was overall heathly and was about 12 years old (current vaccinations and an indoor cat). About a month ago she started to become lethargic and about two weeks ago just stopped eating. I was having to force feed her. The vets say old age, but I do not agree.. it seemed to quick for me. Now I maybe searching for an answer because i just do not agree with old age.. she went from a playful cat to a deceased cat in a month. I have been racking my brain and the only thing I can think of that I changed, was what I mopped my tile floors with. I used a 'popular' spray with the mop attached with removable cleaning pads. So many cleaning products have caused health problems in people and pets. That's why I switched to a company with proven safer products for the enviroment and myself. You shouldn't blame yourself though, it happens. Pets pass away, it is possible it was just an illness that took your cat quickly. I wouldn't dwell on it, I'm sure you did all you could. To be on the safe side if you intend on having pets again switch at least back to your old stuff or find something that is proven safer and less toxic. Sorry for your loss.
